Drop In

If you have a problem with drugs and/or alcohol you can avail of a range of services including the Drop In, where you can access food, shower and laundry facilites and get assistance from one of the project workers on issues you may have on any given day. If you are an IV drug user you can avail of our Needle Exchange Service in Boghall Road, Monday to Friday 10am until 5pm. If you would like One-to-One Support you can avail of our key-working/case management service. In addition BCAT can offer you other supports such as Outreach and Home Visits. SMART Recovery is the leading self-empowering addiction recovery support group.  Participants learn tools for addiction recovery based on the latest scientific research and participate in a world-wide community which includes free, self empowering, science based mutual help groups.

Family Support

If you are the relative (mother, father, partner) of a person with a drug/alcohol problem,  BCAT can offer you support on a one-to-one and/or on a group basis.  If you are living with or have close contact with a loved one who refuses to get help for themselves you can avail of the Community Reinforcement and Family Training Programme (CRAFT) on a one-to-one and/or on a group basis. Go to the CRAFT section on this site for more information.

 

We can also offer The Five Step Method. This is a brief intervention which focuses on self care for family members.  Go to www.fsn.ie  for more information.

Prison Links

If you are in prison for a drug/acohol related crime and drugs/alcohol are a problem for you can avail of the Prison Links service.  The Prison Links Worker will work with you on:

  • addiction specific issues (harm reuction, stabilisation, relapse prevention)
  • goal setting
  • sentence management
  • establishing post-release care plans
  • transition back into the community
  • family liaison

Tuesday 10.00AM - 12:30 PM, 2.00 - 4.30 PM

Wednesday Drop In Closed (U18s Keyworking Only)

Please note BCAT's Dublin Road Drop in will open on all Bank Holiday Saturday from 12.30 to 3.30pm

 

One to One Keyworking Meetings will run from Monday to Friday from 10AM to 1pm & 2PM to 5PM in both Offices with the excepion of Wednesday mornings in our Boghall office

Our needle exchange service will run as normal Monday to Friday in Boghall.
